Perhaps they are not naming the potential new investor yet because there will be uproar when we find out who they are and what the caveats are linked to the investment you mean like a Sam Hamann or even worse a Kassam?

Not expecting one - perhaps a withdrawl of comments made about Martin - and a willingness to continue playing happy families.

And leave scope, no matter how flawed, for blaming the Council for 'forcing' them out of Swindon

great minds think alike mate I wouldn't say anybody on our board has a 'great mind'. If that were the case they wouldn't be so painfully predictable and incompetent

Will be interesting to see what they have to say with only 7 days remaining, The clock is ticking and their only options are to pay the money or give in to the Trust.
Unfortunately I think they are hoping for a plan C to magically write itself

STFC Statement:
We can confirm that the CVA has now been paid, we would like to thank our new investor, Lady Gillian Wills who has invested just under £1m to enable us to continue taking the club forward.
We have been talking to Lady Gillian for quite some time and she has agreed to remortgage the rest of the family's assets on the understanding that she will get the money back from the impending redevelopment of the CG.
To this end we will be ceasing talks with the Fans Consortium as the Wills family have never had any intention of selling STFC.
We can also announce changes within the board room, with the immediate effect Mike Bowden will be chairman of STFC with Willie Carson becoming responsible for all PR matters.
End
