or does anyone else blame Stuart Pearce for last nights defeat??
You're winning 1-0, you've used 2 subs, Lita & Derbyshire are still causing the Dutch problems so what does Pearce do? Yep, takes off Lita who was still full of running, only to replace him with a goat like Ferdinand, thus reverting to a negative defensive 5-4-1 tactic, and inviting the Dutch on. What happened next?
Yep, Steven Taylor gets injured and we aint got no more subs so Taylor has to play on. And why aint we got no more subs, coz of Pearce being negative and trying to hold onto that 1-0 lead.
Yes, it was only the u21s, and I know some people don't give a shit, but its still frustrating as fuck and the same old English mentality 'we battled well, we're so proud' blah blah blah bollocks.

Cant blame pearce, We were getting battered at the time anyway, he was just trying to sure up the defence, seeing as the ball was in our third rather than the final third the majority of the time in the 2nd half bringing on a defender to try and sure it up was not a bad move. Jst unlucky not to hold on.

I blame the fact that all english footballers have a gene that prohibits them from winning penalty shoot outs

Or infact how did the u19s do in the european champs last summer?

Whilst he couldnt forsee injuries, you should NEVER EVER sit back on a 1-0 lead.....EVER disagree, sometimes it is essential to sit back on a 1-0 lead.say the game is in the latter stages, you are 1-0 up and the opposition are throwing everything at you in an attempt to score.you have to sit back and get bodies behind the ball,as gambling on an attack could leave you exposed at the back.every game is different though, and didn't see last nights game so cannot comment on that

In fact how many times have you got out of the groups at either the Euro's or the World Cup. Now do one, I am sick of the Scots and the massive chip on their shoulders about England, as far as I am concerned it is pure jealousy. Has anyone flown into a Scottish airport lately? They have put up all of these massive signs saying 'best small country in the world'. What a pile of utter crap, I have been to about 10 better small countries, Luxembourg for a start!

But not in the first half ffs!!
