There is a fantastic article in the Adver today (not online yet)  entitled "Can The Club Volunteer An Answer"

saying that the fans deserve to know what is going on at 30 June.

Here are a couple of highlights

THE ADVERTISER HAS REPEATEDLY ASKED TOWN OFFICIALS ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE CVA DEADLINE AND THE ISSUES SURROUNDING IT.

THE STOCK ANSWER HAS BEEN THAT AS THE ADMINISTRATOR MR ANDRONIKUNT IS IN THE POSITION TOKNOW EXACTLY WHEN AND HOW TOWN HAVE TO MEET THEIR OBLIGATIONS.

The last sentence says it all.

SURELY AT THE VERY LEAST, FANS DESERVE BETTER THAN THE ODD BLAND STATEMENT OR LENGTHY PERIODS OF SILENCE.

Well Done Adver!

The turnaround at the Adver since Andy Cryer replaced Ritson has been a breath of fresh air.  The Adver is now doing exactly what a local newspaper should be doing...asking the right questions on behalf of its readership.

Let's not forget how frustrating it was up until about a month ago, though.  None of us could understand why it was the Adver was refusing to take on the current board.  It was infuriating.

So it's a shame this didn't happen months ago, but I'm pleased that the Adver's editorial staff is now giving the issue of the club's future the prominence it deserves.

FWIW, the Adver staff, from memory, had very little time for the club's top dogs, but following a slight thawing of the relationship about 2 years ago I guess they made a decision to bury the hatchet to ensure they got stories.

When I was shown around they still had a back page declaring how Macca had been been ousted as Manager.  They seemed quite proud of it.

Superb piece, congrats to the Adver.  As it is a Sportsdesk Comment they are actually stating how they feel about things, rather than merely reporting.  Well done!

Well it actually looks as though the questions asked in that editorial might just have done the trick and provoked today's bonkers statement. Along with the earlier Nick Martin article of course.

Hallelujah! The bullet hole in the STFC corporate shoe is well and truly smoking.
