Really kicked off tonight.
Ignore the 2-0 result which put England through to the Semi's...the fun and games happened off the pitch, and after the second goal.
First there was racist chanting by Serbia fans, then in the build-up to the second goal, one of the Serb defenders went down like he's be shot, England continue and the ball gets fed through to Derbyshire, who puts it in the bottom corner from 20 yards...then it all kicks off. While Derbyshire celebrates, just about all the Serb players try and confront Derbyshire and some England players. Despite all the England players trying to back away, they are pushed and there also looks to have punches thrown at Noble and ex-Town loanee Milner. Amazingly the ref, only books a Serbian player and Milner, on the advice of a linesman.
Towards the end Huddlestone said a passing comment to the linesman, and the ref sent him off. Huddlestone looked gobsmacked.
After the game, a Serbian player refuses to shake Derbyshire's hand and apparently it all kicked off again in the tunnel, with a couple of the England players racially abused.
I thought the ref was a joke, and his assistants...well, they weren't good enough to look after a Sunday league game.
If UEFA had any balls they would kick Serbia out of the tournament, but they'll to their normal 'smack on the wrists' punishment.

Typical Serbs, they're all fucking Cavemen and live in a whole different planet.
If this had been the other way round we would have been kicked out of the tournament but seeing as it's Serbia they wont do fuck all about it.

It wouldn't have happened if it had been the other way round cos Serbia would have kicked the ball out-no wonder no fucker likes us. But the fact is he went down unscathed, if he had been hacked down then fair enough but he was a play acting. That doesn't excuse Matt Derbyshire being spat at and general Serbian toy out of the pram throwing.

I fucked my achilles when there was nobody near me and I certainly wasn't play acting!!

If I'm right in thinking the Serbs are the former Yuoslavia (?) then I don't much rate their sportmanship. IIRC at Euro 2000 when they got thrashed by Spain it was the most pathetic attempt at gamesmanship I've ever seen. Frankly the levels of play acting and cheating from them make Italy and Argentina look like bastians of fair play.

And that is why i have come to the conclusion of the Serbs being a bunch of cheating Cunts. I can remember a few tournaments that Yugoslavia were in, and they were a fucking disgrace when it came to diving/play acting.

Shearer,Sheringham,Owen,Joe Cole etc.......all unscathed divers.England is not immune No English fan expects to see the other team kick the ball out when an English player dives, they moan at them to get up. And you wouldn't see those players above starting a big fight and shouting racist insults, on or off the pitch. As for kicking the ball out, didn't they bring in a guideline saying teams weren't meant to kick it out?

i think that ruling was just in the premiership r4e, it's still expected in europe and beyond that the opposition puts the ball into touch when a player is down.

but then you can look back to england 'b' v belarus before the world cup, robert green goes to take a goalkick, kicks it strangely and does his knee in, the ball went straight to a belarus player who put it past the stricken keeper and into the net. swings and roundabouts, and it serves serbia right for not voting for us at eurovision.

As much as I hate Leroy Lita, and as much as two wrongs do not make a right, I thought he had a fair point when he said "If they'll play fair and stop shouting racial abuse at us, we'll play fair and kick the ball out" or something like that!

George Ndah vs Aaron Flahaven had to be the strangest of them all.
Difference being, the Pomepy players went towards the linesman not our lot, mainly because Darren Bullock just stood there in front of them....Igoe vs Bullock isn't much of a match up is it.
