Can you really see Swindon Borough Council actively being responsible for the closure of the towns football club?!?! That would be an absolute PR nightmare! A PR nightmare for the board of STFC you mean. The council are duty bound to get council tax payers money back.

They are accountable to the tax payers of the Town that they represent. It is the tax payers that are owed the money therefor the council must be seen to be acting. Perhaps if the board had not consistently pissed off the council during their tenure things may be different. No, I dont think the council would wind the club up, but it will draw Andronikous hand. Thats for sure

I think there would be lots of people that wouldn't care or would actually support the closure of the club

I am confident that the CVA will be paid off by the end of June! Reason: the weather is improving and the kit minibus has been converted into another ice cream van. Now we have two Mr Whippy's out on the streets and our problems are solved. Sandy is operating the second one, adding a percentage to every ice cream sold (10% to the club, 10% to me and 80% for our saviour - Mikey the Greek Diamond!). PS Why can't we have an ice-cream smilie?

Here it is, biggest load of bullshit you'll ever read: Bill Power and other leaders of the fans' consortium bidding to take control of the club were unavailable for comment last night.
Presumably the Trust no longer counts in "other leaders of the fans' consortium" - Ben whatsisface did manage to get hold of me about the Brunel thing but we didn't get a call about this pile of steamies.

The attitude of Andronikou really does beggar belief, with some of these 'busy bodies' being the actual creditors he is effectively slagging off the people he represents what a fucking tool

Andronikou is just doing what Diamond Mike tells him to say.
FACTS :
He said at the Fans Forum that the 'bullet' payment was dependent on a ground redevelopment...only to be told that it wasn't as it said that in the CVA, and had to backtrack....sharply.
Andronikou announced a month ago that there was an investor on the horizon, and there was going to be an announcement within 2 weeks...so where the hell is he. Got scared of Bob Holt's stick !!
And now he's saying that HE can delay the final payment by re-negotiating. He has got no right to do that without a creditors meeting, and iif it was somehow passed, we'll more likely have a 10 points penalty, virtually condemning us to relegation without a ball kicked.
This guy is serving the interests of Diamond Mike and not the creditors.
