copied from the new thisis site

you will all be glad to know that my mate mike has managed to extract the plans for a new stadium from my head. he said he new a nice man who could make a model of my breakthrough ideas for as little as £1.2 million. i thought that this was rather a bargain so said ok but he must follow my plan to the letter. i think it has turned out splendid. the beauty of this is that it is totally portable so we can move it anywhere the next time i fall out with my mate mr bluh.

Joking apart. Why do we need a new stadium? We can't even fill the one we've got at the moment, even with all the glory end of season w@nkers.

engage your brain and come back once you've realised the answer. it's not tough.

my brain is engaged thanks  Cheesy

If we had a decent enough support (i.e. at least 10k) we would generate sufficient revenue to maintain a position in league 1 and the championship (if we were ever to get there).

I guess the fickle people of Swindon only have themselves to blame for that.

Yes bigger crowd would help. I'm not sure 10K cuts the mustard any more at championship level. Only 2 teams had under that, finishing in the bottom 3 places. The top 6 teams all have averages > 20k

Sure you can blame "fickle" locals, but it doesn't get you more money and to be fair the club have tried a fair few initiatives that didn't really work.

So having revenue far more frequently than every other Saturday becomes vital to survival.

Surely colchester averaged under 10K last season, and they did ok. But they had the benfit of sound financial management, which we dont seem to have  Sad
