£51 a month

Thats ridiculous.

My gym i use is at The Moreton In The Marsh Fire Service College.  I pay £26 a year for full leisure club membership and then you just pay for each activity when you use it.

Gym and cool off swim is £4.80
Just Gym is £3.50

It's a top notch gym too with alot of very expensive equipment.

The thing about David Lloyd is that they have absolutely everything there. Cracking little cafe, with a bar and big screen televisions showing live sporting events. They have indoor/outdoor tennis courts, badminton, indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, massive gym and places to leave your kids (if you have them).

They're great for families, but if you just want a swim and gym workout, you can get much cheaper.

If you want to make it a big part of your life (go there on the weekends, evenings etc), or if money is no object, they're great places to go.

I get gym, swim and sauna for £4.80 a time. (Plus the yearly £26 membership fee)

To be honest, a bar and cafe don't interest me at a leisure centre. I go there to work out not socialise and get pissed up!  Soapy Tit Wank

Have they got a fag machine in the gym?  Soapy Tit Wank

I just play sport. Much more fun than a gym and keeps me in shape. Fuck £51 a month!

up the old railway track down marlborough road round coate and back.

But reckon barbary castle ride would be good?

Bushey...I've been known to do a bit of cycling, but my steed needs a bit of maintainence, so haven't been out this year, yet.  One of the best things about Swindon, is that with a bit of knowledge, its possible to cycle to most parts and keep largely off busy roads.

I used to reckon that if you could cycle up Salthrop Hill and then Hackpen Hill to get to the Ridgeway, you're not in bad shape.....think at the moment I could probably only manage one  Sad

Yep. Go through Westlea Park and through the underpass up to the back of the industrial estate towards the town centre.

Before you get to the new Thamesdown place there's a turning left signposted Mouldon Hill which'll take you up past the old powerstation and you come out at the bottom of Thamesdown Drive.

Pretty simple to get to Haydon Wick from there.

Can do if you want, I just prefer the other way because it's all country tracks.
