SWINDON Town will today announce Kingswood Construction as the club’s new main sponsors. The Swindon Advertiser understands that both parties have agreed a five-year deal.

Town bosses are set to unveil the Swindon-based company as their new sponsors at a press conference this morning.

Kingswood Construction, based in South Marston Industrial Estate, take over from Nationwide, who have sponsored Town since 1997.

Town’s previous deal with Nationwide as main sponsors of the club, lasted three years and came to an end last season.

That deal was worth in the region of £100,000 and the Swindon Advertiser believes that Town bosses have negotiated a similar financial package with Kingswood but over a five-year term.

Kingswood will take over the sponsorship of the club shirt and Nationwide stand.

It is also understood that an option to extend the deal beyond the initial five-year period will be incorporated into the deal.

The Advertiser also believes that one of the directors at Kingswood Construction, who specialise in reconstructing, is an avid Swindon Town supporter.

that sounds like £100k over 5 years?Huh?

Here it is. Hopefully that shirt is just too big for the bloke. If not, it's all wrong.

Sounds to me like the Nationwide deal was worth £30k a year and they think the Kingswood deal is similar.

It all needs to be shifted up about 6 inches.

To be fair though, even if it was the perfect shirt, I'd probably still find some way of criticising the board for it.
