Whatever it's purpose, up front makes most sense - 100k now put invested well is far more than that in 5 years time.

But the Bank of Mike may not see it that way

Maybe we are moving grounds, were gonna buy a few terraced 3 beds in Penhill, knock them through, have a conservatory for the executive area and clad in the Cornish style?  Parking could be an issue, we'll need to strike an investment deal with Millennium Block Paving to sort the drive out.

Maybe Sandy asked what Kingswood do and when the reply was terraced, she thought "a good somebody to build our ground"

what happens if we get taken over by BP or the new investor. can we then fuck these guys off or are all these deals tied into the sale of the club etc?

i'm just thinking that the current board are doing there best to fuck the club over (even more) before they do one.

How is this fucking the club over?

We've got a deal that's comparable with most in league 1.

I'm not pro board, but FFS! Everything they do is slagged off and it's becoming a joke.

Constructive criticism is fine and raises valid concerns, but constantly  moaning about everything that goes on is, imho, counter productive and clouds the real issues.

Why would the consortium have got a better deal than this?

Agree with Herthab on this one.

A lot of lower league teams use local companies for sponsorship. No-one knows what other sponsors came in. Is done now. what more can we do?

many businesses have stated they wouldn't work with this current board etc. hence we have had to drag the barrel with an unknown company on a tin pot deal.

how is £100k over 5 years sound business. it's not. Maybe for Kingswood yes but i'm imagining the board had to take what they could asap as time was running out and no other company wanted to be involved.

I have absolutely no idea if this is a good or a bad deal for the club to be honest as I haven't a clue what other clubs get.  It's a good deal for Kingswood I reckon though, £20k a year marketing cost and they get their name on the kit, advertising boards in the ground and a stand named after them close to a big local market for their services (The Parks).

I just find it mildly ironic given their line of business.

Yeah. I'm sure loads of National Companies would've been queuing up to be our sponsor if it wasn't for this board.

Imagine the cachet of being on the shirts of a 3rd Division Club................

It's not a tinpot deal.

We aint in the Premiership or even the Championship.

How many league 2 teams have big name sponsors?

You are having a laugh about naming a stand after the company surely?

FFS just call it Shrivvie Road and forget about the fucking Intel/Nationwide/South Stand.

with this board in place we can't tell whether there are loads of businesses waiting to sponsor us or not. maybe when they leave we'll know.

i think it's a tinpot deal you don't.

and i reckon about half the clubs have large sponsors

But even C*ty, league 1 promotion contenders were only sponsored by the yocal Bristol Trade Centre.

It's difficult to say if it's a good, bad or indifferent deal to be honest without knowing the average deal for the other lower league clubs (excluding the posh, who are an anomoly in this area).

It was originally mentioned by the club it would be part of any sponsorship deal.

Just been mnetioned by Paul D that it might in fact be 100k per year for 5 years, which would make it altogether a different prospect.
