Having 6 weeks around the house has saved me a lot of money so I am going to splash out (not in a sexual way) on a few CD's. I'm thinking

Pigeon Detectives
Mumm-Ra
The Cribs
Manics
Travis Oops
The Twang
Biffy Clyro

so far, anyone else recommend or advise to decent indie type stuff at the moment??

My last batch included Idlewild, The Rakes (which I think is ace), Fall Out Boy, Tom Baxter, Porcupine Tree, Cold War Kids which gives you an idea of my musical preferences.

The Cribs - mmmm, maybe.
Manics - don't bother.
Travis Oops - shit.
The Twang - utter shit. get some flowered up instead.
Biffy Clyro - their new single is pretty decent.

i'd get the new modest mouse album.

I watch a lot of MTV2 so have seen videos by Good Shoes and CSS, Good Shoes seemed ok but not sure I liked CSS. I have the new Electric Soft Parage album and very good it is too.

Waiting for albums by The Enemy and Ash and enjoying a choon by a band called Reverend and the Makers at the moment!

"myth takes" by !!! is quite good if you like disco-punk.

other recent purchases that i am enjoying include "mirrored" by battles and "person pitch" by panda bear.

i'll get grinderman and the new album by the cinematic orchestra when i get paid next.

i appreciate that i'm probably talking to myself here.

ps. editors sound like a covers band covering interpol doing a joy division cover, badly.
