I note with interest that the Adver current poll is: Was it right to change from BBC Radio Swindon to Brunel FM?

Currently 91% against. What a surprise. Do you think the goons in charge our club will take any notice?

It was 92% in favour of the consortium, so I think you'll find that 91% is exactly in that statistical Bermuda Triangle where what might at first sight appear to be a thumping majority in fact curves right round so that it instead becomes a "vocal minority of troublemakers". Apparently it's some sort of distortion effect that also causes 86% against, say, a proposed groundshare to become 80% in favour. I have to say it's all a bit beyond me as it's a complex statistical anomaly but I'm sure someone who's better with numbers than I am could explain it, like a Finance Director for example.

do the 9% work for Brunel FM? who ever wants to have adverts on a radio station when you could vote for a BBC option instead?

unless you really like hearing about double glazing.

What I didn't like was that the club were trying to alienate the Adver and try to get people to accept Brunel by contradicting and criticising the adver over the 'Sturrock demands more money' story. A fatal error I feel

Diamandis must've worked some of his 'mathematical engineering' on the stats.

The thing that makes me laugh is that if anyone like Mori did a national opinion poll, a sample of 1,000 would be about what they would take. How many people have done that vote? Just over 1,000. So if it's good enough for them, how come Swindon Town can't see that the decision they have made is in the eyes of the people that keep them in business - the fans - is wrong?

They really have got thick skins in Newbury.

yes but in spite of that Sandy Gray will still claim 80 percent of fans support the move to Brunel - Is it because in Sandy's world  91 + 80 = 100?? Probably!

As she's from New Zealand, probably not - she'll have taken whatever the NZ equivalent is one would have thought. Which I realise wasn't quite the point you were making but the pedantic hat's fitting snugly this morning  Cheesy

I hear the trauma of forgetting the VAT now causes Sandy to add 17.5% to everything.  Counting has become a bit of a bitch...

1.175, 2.35, 3.525, 4.7.....
