If Bates gets control (and apparently its gone to a recount!) he is going to pay all creditors 1p in the £.  Do they still owe us for Wise and Poyet?  If they do we are in shit street again, never mind, Diamond Mike getting a taste of his own medicine!!

Football debts have to be paid in full, so they are outside the CVA. Getting the money however could be an entirely different matter.

Paul, if Leeds don't or can't pay it, the Football League will make a deduction from the central payments (mainly TV revenues) they make to all clubs, pay the club themselves and clear the debt in that manner. It normally means that until you have paid back, in full, your football debts, you are embargoed from making signings, and whilst a club is under a CVA you have to seek League permission for every loan or permanent signing.

Thanks Mark.  Would I be correct in thinking that we, ourselves, had a deal vetoed in the summer and are we still under the same constraints?

Sorry if this has already been posted:

Leeds also have "football debts" owing to Swindon (£100,000 arising from the hiring of Dennis Wise last year)
....

A Football League source said "football's claims" must be honoured "not to look after the old-boys' act but as a competition issue".

But knowing our lot we probably had the whole compo dependent on them staying up.  To say I'm confident we were adequately compensated is a falsity.

Said pretty much the same in yesterday's Times and that they have agreed a penny in full to all creditors while football debts will be repaid in full.
