Orient players Adam Tann and Craig Easton are running for charity soon after Tann was diagnosed with testicular cancer last year. Now, after learning both players are leaving the club some Leyton Orient fans have demanded their money back.

HAVING once again praised Orient fans for the support they gave him during his battle with testicular cancer, it was with sadness that defender Adam Tann has offered to hand back sponsorship money to those fans that feel let down by his decision to join Notts County.

The former Cambridge United man, who is set to take part in the Keep Your Eye on The Ball 5k run with departing midfielder Craig Easton on Saturday claims he is disappointed by the reaction of a handful of O's supporters that have sponsored him for the event.

He said: "I would like to make it clear once again how grateful I am to all the fans and people at Orient that supported me when I was diagnosed with cancer last year, because without that kind of backing I don't think I wouldve got back playing so quickly.

"And while I don't want it to sour my time with the club, I have been a little disappointed though that some people who have sponsored me and Craig are saying that they want their money back because we have left the club.

"I can understand that fans are upset that we've not decided to stay at Orient, but this isn't about us or even football for that matter it is about raising money for a cancer charity.

"If there are people out there who want their money back, I will happily meet up with them on the day and pay them out of my own pocket because I wouldn't want their money if they feel like that."

this is so childish, the money has gone to a cancer charity not the player himself! the sad thing is that everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and by taking money from it is disgusting
