According to the Adver, the shop is closed today. Now, you might have thought that today, being the last day of the 'early bird' renewal period, may just have seen a fair few extra people around the place - increasing the opportunity of merchandise sales.

They really don't think things through. (Unless I am missing a very good reason for closure)

It could be that in their busiest time, they seem to have only one person doing the season tickets, due to illness.

Yeaterday, the woman in the club shop was helping out, so whether they've just closed the shop to get the ST's processed.

That would qualify as "good reason" in my book

I beleive that it is the end of their financial year so they are probably checking what stock they have left over....and then telling Sandy so she can add it to the balance sheet, it obviously takes all day to stock take though in such a massive shop like that...more like 30 mins !!

They could just as easily do it on 1st June, if that were the case - hopefully they'd have less to count by then !

What the hell has financial year end got to do with it anyway, see you have fallen into the trap that they actually do accounts and everything at STFC.

Sandy sits there with an abacus and then passes the figures to Mikey who uses his expertise to ensure that they add up!

Only one person at the ticket office today, although another woman came along to do credit/debit card renewals, but nothing else. Quite a big queue I was there for about 40 minutes and they'd only got through one person so I left.

I got done after an hour and 20. The woman doing debit card renewals refused to do my debit card new one. How lame.

That woman at the front was there for fucking ages I swear she was renewing for most of Swindon.
