Agreed stfctownenda, Pook is worth a one yr IMHO but on merit as a squad player not just because we need midfielders - it'd be like the McMahon era all over again, a squad full of mediocre midfielders (Peter Holcroft anyone?) just because we wanted numbers.  I'd take one less in numbers if it meant greater quality - these days there are so many freebies kicking about a manager like Sturrock should be able to pick up a couple of gems.

Orient fans rate him, sounds decent.

Weston, now Easton. We're working our way through the compass  Cool

I understand from my sauces, that Sturrock is after Keith Southern from Blackpool.

A gay Irish friend of mine also told me we were going to be securing the services of Graham Norton.

Interesting thread on Easton: http://leytonorient2.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=146512&whichpage=2&SearchTerms=Easton

Orient got 51 points from 46 games
Easton played in 30 games, in which 43 points were won

If we get him in, can't see Adams coming too - sounds a defensive midfielder.

Comments on Aljofree from Arab fans.

under 21 intenationalist I think.

got a rocket shot and is a genral hardman type.

I was sad to see him go as he was quite handy although gave away many free kicks in dangerous areas.

Decent going forward not so good defensively, scores overhead kicks versus Highland League opponents. Would do a job for you

Aye, definitely best remembered for those two long range belters against Forres Mechanics in the cup. Don't really understand Luggy's fascination with him though. It's a bit like gingerbaws at Celtic with Paul Telfer.

He was pretty good at crossing from deep and always tried to support his winger but as others have said he was a bit reckless at defending. He could maybe do a decent job as a left midfielder though.

pook deserves another year, he's a decent squad player and can do a job when neccesary. i honestly believe that neither wise or sturrock intended to play him quite as much as they did last season.

i like aljofree. funky name and remember being impressed with him when i saw us play 'muff.

Something you should all know about Craig Easton.

He scored the first goal for Orient in THAT game at Oxford on the final day of 2005/6 season.

That my friends is a FACT! and we should sign him for that reason alone :advercool:

Easton's goal from the Oxford's last game in the Football League is my favourite because, unless I am mistaken, it is the one where Billy "Spot-Kick King" Turley fumbles the ball over the line.

Lovely.
