I am a 'normal' supporter and I am not a member of the TRUST though support the Consortium/Trust plans.

I am not one of the 'super' supporters who have stated their stance over the last few months. I have had a season ticket for probably 12 out of the last 16 years, the only time that it lapsed was when I had to move to Worcester for a while. I was not even born in Swindon, not moving here until 1990.

I initially supported the current board when they took over and argued just how difficult moving forward would be without a stadium redevelopment.

I have been ground down by the current board and the way that they have treated the fans over the last five years. My posts have moved from being supportive of the board to being criticial of the way that they treat paying customers and I have said many times that if they were running any company other than a football club, they would have been out of business years ago, such is the lack of customer focus that they have shown.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have decided not to renew my season ticket - I have had just about as much as I can take from these people. Many others have echoed similar sentiments and I just wanted to have my say. Had I been able to word a suitable message, I would have e-mailed the club with my views but I think that we all know that this would be a complete waste of time. It is not just my season ticket that won't be renewed, it is also my wife's and two kids - just under £800.00 per year I think. Still, we all know that the board does not give a t0ss about the average supporter, so what's £800.00 to them eh?

My views have completely reversed over the last five years. I have come to the end of my tether. Everything is a game to these people, it's all about spin.

  • A 'mystery' investor just as they want the cash in for season tickets - Well I've never heard that one before
  • Season Ticket Sales up (reported in the media) - Yes board, of course they are
  • Sandy Gray's alleged comments about 80% support in respect of ground sharing - Yes Sandy, of course you've got 80% support
..and that's just the cr@p that's been spun over the last few days - what about the trash that we have been told before this - I really can't be bothered to go into it all again.

I used to have the attitude (when our attendances were dwindling over the last few years) that SOMEONE has to keep renewing their season tickets, SOMEONE has to keep the faith, as without the belief and loyalty shown by many, the club would fold. Whilst I obviously do not want that to happen, the board have tipped me over the edge on this to the extent that I do not want to give my money to them - simple as that.

I work hard, I'm sure we all do but if the current board think that I am going to pay another penny to them then they are completely misguided. I know that this is an emotional issue - we all love our club and I know that many will renew, but I am not.

I apologise for the length of the post. It has been posted not because I am seeking attention, but because I welcome as many other views, comments and opinions on this issue.

I have renewed my season ticket for the following reasons:

I'm not that well off and couldn't guarantee to have the necessary funds to buy tickets for me and my son on the day of games.

As I live 80 odd miles away, I can't get into Swindon apart from matchdays, therefore I wouldn't be able to make use off the advanced ticket offer.

I want to support my team.

For those that choose not to buy, fair enough, I respect your reasons.

As an aside, if no one bought season tickets, would the budget for next season be cut?

I'm not going to any home games next season full stop until this bunch of wankers are out.

Lots of nice away days though  Cheesy

I'm begrudgingly renewing mine because i'd like to go to the games as cheaply as possible. Ah well.

Fair play to you Sir.  My only worry is we will lose you and people like you as supporters forever.

I wish I could follow through like that but I just can't bring myself to miss games. Given that, I used the credit card so that the money is paid to the club pro-rata and ensuring I get the cheapest per game price. And that means the club will get less money out of me than if I were paying on the day.

Fair play Worcester, a top post. I couldnt agree more with your reasons for not purchasing a new season ticket.

I dont have a season ticket but i will still go to the home games and most away games. There is nothing this board could do that would stop me going. Although the money from my ticket goes in the boards pocket i still will continue to go because i love Swindon and no board will ever stop that or my passion for the club. I can understand why more and more fans are boycotting because there are so many instances of how this board are a complete joke and do not represent what the fans want.

I just hope that when im older and have kids there will still be a team for me to take them to watch - the team i have grown up loving and have so many happy (and sad) memories of.
