Gents

Had the following mailed to me today. Being chronically unfit and, more importantly, shit, I can't really help out but thought some of you "I coulda been a contender" types might fancy a punt  Cheesy

Quote
Swindon Town have had an internet supporters football team since 1997, and this year we have entered the prestigious event of Worldnet 2007, in Leeds - a competition for like minded individuals, who support their team. At this event there will be 72 supporters’ teams competing in 3 different competitions over the weekend. This is a weekend event and is happennening on the 13/4/5 July. A maximum squad of 22 is allowed in this tournament. The game is played over 2 15 minute halves and we should play a minimum of 5/6 games over the two days (not including friendlies)!

This is a call for players of all standards to stand up and be counted for Swindon Town. If you are free to play, the cost for registration and accommodation for 2 nights B&B is £80. I will be ensuring that everyone has an equal amount of time on the pitch, and everyone has fun!

The social side is great, especially the Friday night! For more information please send an email to simon.juggins@btinternet.com

I've played every year since 1997, and it's great.  A chance to wear the shirt with pride, and drink a lot of (cheap) beer...ability is less important than attitude, i.e. to have fun.

BTW this year we have been drawn in a group with AFC Wimbledon, which is their first appearance, which is quite good.

Who's Tails then?

Cheers

It was Euronet '97 in Middlesbrough. Tails was there, he was about 8! Who are you Donkey?

I'll try and get the highlights video onto DVD/Divx what with it being the 10th anniversary, assuming it hasn't disintegrated.

Great laugh anyway.

We're fine for a keeper, but we can fit anyone in if needs be.

Contact Simon to let him know if you can make it....especially Chubs so we can have the very first joint Ukraine/Poland football team ahead of the nations joint Euro 2012 successful bid. Cheesy

I'm sure beer reasons will be good enough for danjackson10 and Bennett! Beers

If you have any specific questions post them up here and I'll try to answer them...

PS Bushey, you can make the Saturday then! Wink

You could drive up, play three 30 minutes games (not just one) and then drive home...be more worth your while.  If you travel up on Friday night then you could be refreshed on the saturday morning.

I'll check the times of the games and post them here shortly.

Cheers
