I think next season, even with the players we have now, we can finish mid table. You are having a laugh, with the players we have signed up at the moment we will be relegated, we have no strikers for a start. Sturrock needs to be careful about signing all these old boys he's had previous, he may have worked with them in the past and they may have been good for him - but if we sign too many players that are older then surely we risk the Whalley & Thorpe syndrome of signing players that are not hungry enough, sign a few younger players that have potential they usually play well as they may get noticed. I'm sure Jerel & Brez will be gone if they start well next season though. Corr WILL sign so there's a striker. I can't believe people are talking about fucking relegation already. It's fucking may!

Potentially Corr is good, but with a caveat that back injuries can be nasty, he'll miss pre-season and the start of season, it was a pis poor start that shafted us last time.

Yes but it would be nice to compete, not just miss relegation. Aim high, finish mid table. Aim low get relegated

Bart if we were a mid table championship side you'd still fucking moan.
It's may, shut the fuck up.
Paul Sturrock is one of the best managers outside of the Premiership and he knows what he's doing.

it doesn't matter if Sturrock is the best manager in the world if his budget doesn't allow him the room to manevuer.

Exactly the same as every other manager under this board.
This budget scenario just proves that they CANNOT take us any further, we are in no better a position on the field as we were when they retook control

it doesn't matter if Sturrock is the best manager in the world if his budget doesn't allow him the room to manevuer. Exactly King showed that with a par for the div budget, he could produce a reasonably competitive side......but as soon as it was slashed we went down. That relegation was predictable....we went into the opening game at Barnsley with more players debuting than any game since 1946. This coming season we have a bit more stability, which should be a help. Can't help thinking that the sale of Lukas will prove to be an error, it would have been far better to see him banging in some goals, making a name for himself and creating an auction.
