i'm guessing here but.maybe a frequency change is on the cards for brunel fm? if other stations have their current one, and they are looking to expand coverage it looks the only way to me.

Old skool for an away game on a Saturday if not attending, was going to watch the reserves...changes in scores being announced on the Tannoy. Then it would be go and buy some chips and pick up a Football Pink to read a report, it was probably out by 6:00pm Midweek night games away were a particular problem....as there was no media.....of course the Adver rang in a report, so a polite phone call to the Adver office might result in getting the score or told to fuck off. The last such occasion, before the changes in media that I recall, was 1983, when we played at Stockport on a Friday night in September...I was in The Wheatsheaf and the landlord's son was on phoning duty...we won 3-1 Mayes 2, Rowland. (Mayes had just returned to reform the old partnership)

I expect my dad went to that game though. A Friday night Div 4 fixture in Stockport, was definitely for the hardcore. County used to play then in the hope of not competing with ManUre and City on a Saturday...they got 2244. When we played at Chester later in the year the crowd was 880.....the lowest to watch a Town league game in my time.

Martyn apologises for not responding earlier and has asked me to reply on his behalf. He is currently focused on providing financial information to assist the Board in securing a potential new investor.

Now, Reg. Although I did wonder why our Financial Director wasn't able to do that.
