I've done the test driving South of Swindon. The signal starts to fade at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club and then goes completely as you pass through Oxbourne St Andrew. My radio then picks the station up again as you go up the hill into Marlborough before it starts to cut in and out as you head back down the hill into the town centre.

I think it will improve before too long How? As I keep saying, any power increase will be subject to Ofcom approval and considering there are plenty of neighbouring stations on close frequencies, I can't see it happening. Ofcom won't let them turn up the power if they bowl up and say "Hey, we've got the rights to Swindon commentary, can we pump the power up?" Bath FM and Star North Somerset will end up having problems ...

Signal clear in Lechlade - on an old radio. Drove to Bath and lost the signal 2 miles after Leigh Delamare. got it back slightly on the hills north of Bath but lost again in the centre of Bath. Very scratcht around Frome and Bradford on Avon but clear halfway up the Chippenham ring road(just after the A4 roundabout)

I think the signal will improve. But it can't, it's like Chris K has been saying all along. If Brunel up their signal strength then they'll be infringing on their 'sister' stations in nearby counties that broadcast on the same frequency.

Wait and see, next week Yeah, yeah. Look, if you know something, just say. Either way, whatever they do, they'll never have the transmission area of the BBC. I simply can't see their signal reaching as far as Salisbury and the south coast, or up into the far north of Gloucestershire. Or even over to me in Bristol. In fact, Bushey, if their 107.7FM signal reaches my radio without modification in Bristol I will personally eat my hat and post the video on YouTube. I'm confident to say that because IT WON'T HAPPEN.
