the way i remember it was that during the 80's liverpool were hated by the neutral in the same way that man united were hated during the 90's, and chelsea are hated now!
come on milan! Yep and me . I seem to remeber loads of lucky last minute penaltys at Anfield.

arsenal are the best of the big four. They're clearly the worst performing team out of the top 4 and they're one of the least likeable teams in the world. Hope Liverpool come back tonight, Milan don't deserve to win this.

what i didn't understand was pennant moving more central in the second half.
And some commentary magic from david pleat when crouch was brought on.
" liverpool will be looking to get the ball to the feet of crouch, and get him running at the defenders" :?

inzaghi amuses me Milan were pretty poor, but still had more than enough for the Scousers. So much for the much vaunted "best league in the world" 2 wins in the 15 years of Champions League.

Lucky first goal off the shoulder, proper Clive Allen job, good 2nd but Liverpool deserved extra time really. Having said that, bovvered.

Always seemed like Milan had another gear if liverpool had the ability to step their game up a bit. To be fair Liverpool started ok, but after that it always seemed like a pretty comfortable Italian win. and good stuff too. Fuck those scouse bastards. Actually that's unfair. I don't think I've ever met a Scouse Liverpool fan.

I thought Milan were there for the taking, but Benitez is so negative it is unbelievable. Milan had two shots on target and scored both, and I think Liverpool had three all game.
Harry Kewell was absolute crap when he came on.
Saying that Milan should not have been in Europe at all after being found guilty of match fixing, and UEFA didn't have the balls to throw them out.
