I've drank one small glass of red wine and smoked no cigarettes for 2 days now. This is as close to detox as it's gone for ben for a while.
Why?
Well I saw the state Fred was in at the meeting on Tuesday night. Blowing his nose every minute, eyes streaming like he's just watched a montage of the best Star Wars and Rocky bits mixed up. But still battling through with his crazy mix of a cider and black followed by a red WKD. I looked at him and thought, "Do I want to end up like that?". I've been thinking about it since.
What do I do? I'm looking at the 22 cigarettes and 3/4 of a bottle of wine in front of me and it's like I've an angel on one shoulder, a demon on the other and hundreds of other entity's swirling round my head all trying to give me advice. Unfortunately they are all speaking Welsh, and I don't understand Welsh.
Give me your advice whilst I ignore it and light up.

Always listen to your body....I've had a quietish night tonight, a few pints and home by 12:30.....the plus side is, will be in better state tomorrow.

I survived several hours in many pubs including Yates, which just seemed like one big hen party. I don't think the girls were too impressed when I explained it was shit and I was going home.
