I thought this was a joke on first readng this thread.....its not exactly a first, as Lindisfarne played in the 70's......remember Le God C posting of old ground pics on thisis.
Though to be fair although popular at the time...they were hardly in Sir Elton's league.

hopefully if this concert is a sucess & a sell-out it will push the cause for a new stadium so the town can hold regular events like this. may get the non-football community on our side?
