Its that time of year comming up when the dreaded re-newal letters start comming through, i need to renew my car insurance

At the moment im with tescos who have been pretty good.
I drive a 1.8 XS Pug 306 and have 4 years NC, they have quoted me £370 which im quite chuffed with, but i want it cheaper, any recomendations to some lesser known insurers?

www.thisismoney.co.uk seems to pick up loads of obscure comapnies I have never heard of, might be worth using the search engine and getting a handle of the market.

I'm going to be paying £28 a month for my potential new motor, should i manage to secure it's purchase tonight... that's Direct Line and it's ludicrously cheap. If i stay with my current motor, Direct Line will insure it for almost half the price of what my renewal quote is!

Mine is about £900 per year but I don't have any excess. Just did a quote as if I was still living in the UK and it was less than £600 for no excess with elephant. Still I wouldn't have been able to buy my motor for £11k in the UK so every cloud!
