I understand wine glasses and see why they can sometimes be a necessity. When sharing a bottle of wine with other people for example. Although some of my most enjoyable wine sharing experiences (and I don't share my wine lightly) have been with us both drinking out of the bottle. Needs must at a shit party and all.

it only gets really bad when you can't find the bottle opener at a party and have to poke the cork into the bottle and drink out of it - and hence dribble wine down yourself all night.
