I went to the chemist yesterday and bought a bottle of Nightnurse and a bottle of Meltus Cough and Catarh.

The girl behind the counter said ''you're not gonna use these together are you''


I said no obviously but what harm can it possibly do??

I must admit i feel very hyper today.

meltus contains guaifenisen which is an expectorant that treats a productive cough by loosening the phlegm in your chest.

night nurse contains dextromethorpan which is used to supress a tickly cough, i.e. to stop you coughing.

so basically they do completely opposite things, so taken together it does fuck all good. supressing a chesty cough is a bad idea as it can lead to a chest infection.
