only way to get a bus to where i live would be abingdon -> oxford -> witney -> bampton which would take hours and would probably be worse for the environment than driving...

It may be raining but it's bloody muggy.
I remember when i was a kid we had 6 foot of snow in Chipping Norton and thats not exageriting.
Winters now are mild and wet.
For may, we're getting about average temperatures now (15 - 18 c)
