Anyone listen to this today? says the board don't have the money to pay the CVA and that the administrator is still trying to renegotiate it!

Unless the consortium can get control of the club it look like we will either go bust or start next season on -10 either way it's not good, this just shows what clowns are running this circus of a club!

Why dont this board just fuck off now!!, if we start with -10 then we're going back down.

Just fuck off and hand over to the people who are willing to actually put some money into the Club.

When Wee Willie Carson said about trouble makers in the background, did he mean the people wanting the CVA paid?

But we've known for some time the Board can't pay the CVA...what we don't know is their next steps....it feels a bit like watching Soviet style apparatchiks,  plotting in the Kremlin.....for example Blodwyn seems to have been muzzled.

They've certainly done a good job on this as I haven't a fucking clue what's going on.

That was my initial thought, but I've got a feeling Sturrock's got carte blanche (within the budget) to structure the football side of things as he sees fit - something previous managers perhaps haven't.

So maybe there's nothing to read into there....

if the rovers deal goes down the pan (as it should) they've got no money - then you'd hope any competent board would beg for any takeover...

Does seem that they are just banking on getting the 900k repayments restructured, rather than reduced. That seems to be their only hope of clinging on for the immediate future. What amazes me is how they think they can progress long term even if they got this CVA restructed when they haven't got a pot to piss in and their stadium proposals are a joke. Surely if the worst came to the worst and the club went bust they'd lose everything, which I why I believe they'll hang on until the last minute, in the meanwhile sucking up any profit the club makes, then sell for an overinflated price to the fans consortium.

Posted this elsewhere this morning...

Surely, the time has now come for John Ritson and his colleagues at the Swindon Adver to actively campaign for the majority shareholder of STFC to sell to Bill Power. To have a situation, as we do, where

(a) the board now openly admits that it cannot pay the CVA;
(b) Bill Power has offered to buy the club and meet the CVA in full; and
(c) the club still appear to be dragging their feet in the signing of the NDA

is simply unacceptable. It's shoddy and unprofessional. The board is in turmoil, so much so that they are even having difficulty directing themselves towards the exit door.

The Adver has (perhaps understandably) been keen not to be seen as partisan, probably for fear of upsetting those currently 'in charge'. I hope that this morning's news will make the newspaper's staff now realise that there is nothing to be gained by seeking to stay on side with a toothless administration that cannot offer a stable future for the club. Campaigning for a change of administration is now risk free from their point of view. They shouldn't worry about rocking the boat, because the boat is falling apart anyway.

If the current board really had the club's best interests at heart, the sale would already have been progressing. With this morning's announcement that they do not have the resources to pay the CVA, there is now an immediate obligation (moral, if not legal) to sit down with Bill Power and discuss terms.

The Adver now runs a very real risk of getting horribly out of step with its readership if it does not act now and campaign for the board to do just that. I will be reading with interest.

This is a complete joke now. If we start on -10 points then i will not watch us again till the board leave. Its just suicidal especially when BP has the funds to sort this mess out.

We need to bombard the adver i think with letters and try and get more recognition of how serious this is to the fans who really are blind to what is going on.

Reported today on BBC Teletext that Crawley Town will be allowed to compete in the Conference next season.  Apparently they faced expulsion for not paying their creditors via their CVA!  Wonder if anybody on our board realise this is a possibility!
