Was that our "modern" record attendance then? And what is the exact capacity of the CG? According to the the Football Ground Guide: Modern All Seated Attendance Record: 14,697 v Stockport County Division Two, May 4th 1996
Capacity: 15,728 (all seated)

Exact capacity must be something like 14,750. It must vary though. The capacity that is reported is well out of date...

Our average gate for the season was 7419 which is ~1500 better than anyone else in the league and would make us the 9th best supported team in league 1. pretty decent.

Didn't know so many people watched The Shitheads. They don't normally. They probably saw our attendance and thought the same!!! City's crowds can fluctuate crazily between 7500 and 19000 depending how well they are doing.
