Was in the Wheatie for the second time since the new owners took over - and alas the beer tastes a whole heap nicer now the pipes have been cleaned. aint that the truth - hell of an improvement - mmmmm Bishops Tipple But is it the real thing Ron? Or one of those horrible corporate scams, whereby the original name is kept, but the beer is some mass produced muck masquerading as Bishop's Tipple?

Rush is the other new bar but haven't been in yet, I doubt it's anything revolutionary though. I miss Bar Cuba :x

Bar Cuba was ace. I still pop in the Flag to catch a bit of live music/builders fighting.

I have heard Rush isn't massively different to MBargo, main problem with that Bar is the same pikey crowd seem to go there no matter what its called. Bar Cuba was a quality little boozer, the Flag is quite interesting i'm glad I have never been wrecked in there as you always have to be alert. Looking forward to the Lloyds bar tho, hopefully it will live up to the expectations to the ones I have been in before as both the one in Birmingham and the one in London were fantastic

Bar Cuba was, for a long period, my favourite bar in town. I loved the way you could get bollocks'd on Absinthe, which, incidentally, is the way forward.
