I know in recent years it's about 50% get promoted after finishing last in the play-offs (7th place in League 2, 6th in League 1)

Usually due to the fact that they qualify late and are on a run of form

I have worked this out, over the last 3 seasons.

Championship - 05/06 - 3rd, 04/05 - 6th, 03/04 - 6th.

League one - 05/06 - 5th, 04/05 - 5th, 03/04 - 4th.

League two - 05/06 - 4th, 04/05 - 3rd, 03/04 - 3rd.

3rd place would have a 33% chance of going up, 4th place has an 22% chance, 5th place has an 22% chance of going up and 6th place has a 22% chance.

(League 2 I have given the top p/o place as 3rd)

Basically, it could go to any of the teams in it!!!

I think Franchise have a good chance as they are a decent team compared to the rest of the division.

I would quite LIKE to see Rovers go up so we have a local game next year whether City go up or completely mess it up!

since the 1988/89 season the record is:

Overall: No1 seed: 21 promotions (41.1%); No2 seed: eight promotions (15.6%); No3 seed: 11 promotions (21.5%); No4 seed: 11 promotions (21.5%).

unfortunately that bodes well for the dongs

It's pot fucking luck.

Each team has a 25% chance.

Easy as that.

We were the first 5th place club to gain promotion via the play offs, if I remember correctly, 1992/93 season.

Personally I think Shrews or Rovers will go up.
