I am concerned and i am sure many other people are.....that this board is not going to go anywhere.

In my opinion they are not going anywhere....hence the new badge and the groundsharing with bristol rovers.

If they were serious about selling up then why bother with a new club badge and let bristol rovers share our ground???.....etc etc...

Also...has anyone got the feeling that the board will drag the NDA thing out for another couple of weeks and then refuse to sign it??...as this is something i am concerned about and i would not put this board past doing this kind of thing as they are more than capable.

I noticed someone was on the thisis forum yesterday claiming to be an employee of STFC, i'm not sure whether they were geniune or not but they claimed the badge and kit were already decided long before the voting came out on the official site...i did actually think that they were decided beforehand...this just shows that they are misleading the fans yet again and they are making the fans think that they are helping choose the new kit/badge designs and really they are not!

Good to see Bowden score another own goal....that bloke's almost as bad as Mr. Diamandis.

What are your opinions on the situation?

I'm sure you're right.

Their hope is that  it'll all go quiet once the close season starts.   Then a new season and they can hang on hoping the fans are still divided.

My thoughts exactly!!.....If they are still here in the next few weeks then the season ticket boycott will need to be sorted out....and next season we will have to start protesting again....for every home game until they go....I for one will not give up until they have gone!!

I'm tempted to buy a season ticket but i certainly wont be getting one if the current bunch of wankers are in control.

Can't really explain away the badge change, but surely they accepted the ground share to cash in, while lumping it on the consortium next season, while also gathering some season ticket money?

Just my theory....

Time will tell?

Id like to see a Trust Season ticket pot that people can pay thier money into to add weight to our backing of the consortium, one that allows installments the same as those the club are offering which im told are over a longer time this season?

It has to be said the powers that be have spun the last couple of weeks well with tickets prices and of course the on field almost sucsess. It certainly makes things harder for the protesters especially with the fickle 5 minute memory fan base we have.

Possibly, that's a good theory! However it is possible that they do not intend to go anywhere.....this is what i think is going to happen....I hope i am proved wrong as i support the consortium 110% and i will keep supporting them until they get control of the club.

The board's plan could be to stall on the NDA until the end of the season and then refuse to sign it, then they will get the Lukas money and possibly the groundshare money, shirt sales/season ticket sales money, renegotiate the CVA and stay put......

Hopefully though they will be gone in the summer.....I just cannot seem them going that's all....

Where's the fact in your post, if your going to put 'fact' at the end of the post make sure you have one!

IMO this will all come to a head at the end of June one way or another, that is my opinion not a fact!

With the whole badge thing, they seemed to be making a big thing about the diamond badge being adopted as a sign that turbulant times were over, and that a change now was a similar response, bollocks I know but that was the impression I got.

As for the ground sharing, I am still hoping that the Council will have the ability as landlord to kill that dead, but I would suggest that this is just a cashing in process, I cannot honestly believe that if they were planning to be in control next year they would want the hassle of bloody riots in the streets every other week, that would be as foolish as forgetting to pay the VAT - oh bugger!

The new badge is a purely cynical money making exercise - end of.

How is a new badge going to make them any money? The only individual profitting from this will be Diamandis. Increase shirt sales will probably only cover the costs of replacing everything with the current logo on it.

As for the person on thisisstfc claiming to be an employee - shame on you for being so gullible, I've never read so much shite in my life.

Just as you can take the groundshare/badge thing as evidence of a desire to stay, there's equally strong arguments to say they're last-ditch attempts to cash in (up front fee for groundshare, design/print profits for rebranding for badge). Fact is, you don't know either way (and nor do I or anyone else) so for the moment, let's let the NDA process take its course and keep calm heads shall we?

I think it would be silly to not do as they have done. If you think about it, a takeover bid could fall through and so the club should be making business decisions with a prudent attitude that the bid will fail (not personally saying it will though).

If only the management of the club made business decisions like this in the past  :-))(

Sonic Youth - you are right the club won't make a penny but Diamandis will. I wonder who is going to get the consultancy money on the design.
All shiny new merchandise with a badge - need to replace all that old stuff so as not to be naff - all money to Newbury.
So, yes a cynical money making exercise for the benefit of 1 individual - and the surprise is ?
