Its quite obvious to anyone with half a brain that Cureton did not want to be here after his loan spell at Colchester.
Cureton knew that Colchester could not afford to buy him but he was also aware that he had a release clause in his contract should the club be relegated.
Now far be it from me to accuse Mr Cureton of missing simple chances on purpose but it does make you wonder.

he was scape goated for all last seasons cock ups. you're right I cant believe people blamed him for missing an open goal for 2 yards out at Yeovil.....even worse 4 yards out with a partly open goal at Bristol City or his penalty miss against Hartlepool...how dare you all blame Cureton for missing those chances...it was obviously David Dukes fault....all of it
