Anyone want to be my best man?

Was going to ask my old man but he's not speaking to me.

I'm fucking stumped who to ask now.

Fuckity fuck.

Cheers for the moral support  Crying

It's causing me real frustration. I lost touch with all my 'best' friends after college. I really haven't got a fucking clue who to ask.

Just have to hope things with my old man patch up a bit quick.

.....and like you Sam I've kept in touch with no one from school well in my year, no one from college and pretty much one person from Nationwide.

I'm just lucky that my best mate lives next door, the other lives across the road and the other one lives in the next street.

I'll try and keep it short, but here goes. Him and my mum split up years ago and my dad moved out. He used to see me and my sister every other weekend.

After I left school I went off and did my own thing and didn't really keep in touch, but still saw him about once a month, so did my sister.

Out of me and my sister I was my dad's favourite really, he used to spoil me and not her.

With me moving out of home and everything I kind of lost touch a bit more, but not totally. Lately though my sister has become the favourite. My dad begrudingly gave me and Nic a few grand to help towards the mortgage deposit, but was quite reluctant.

Now my dad moans to my sister that I never get in touch with him and says he's tried to contact me loads of times (which is bollocks). He went off on holiday on saturday without even telling me, saturday was his birthday. I didn't have a chance to get a card for him or anything and I'll get more shit for it when he gets back.

It just pisses me off that he whinges about me not contacting him and saying he's tried to get in touch with me when he blatently hasn't. This might sound a bit naive of me, but he's my dad and he should make an effort.

it's easier to moan about stuff than to do anything (like be the bigger man) and do something about it..

just look at most of us on here for gawds sake!

sounds a pickle though...if you actually do manage to make contact you're only doing it "cos he's been moaning" etc.

that'll be £10 please
