stop going to the bar and asking for guiness

don't be fooled dave, not drinking is nearly as expensive as drinking.

just get wankered at home on cheap wine then go out with the lads and drink normally

I tried to give up midweek drinking once. I got till the wednesday and went walkabout to watch some champions league football with a few mates and they was all drinking but i was on the coke. Then on the 3rd round stfctownenda bought an extra pint in the round deliberately and just left it on the side. I lasted about 5 mins then just necked it in one!!! I did last 3 days though. Some people say i have problems  :?

it's summer, we've got bank holidays galore coming up, as well as the possibility of league championship/promotion/trip to wembley, and you're giving up drinking?

all the best.

This is a good point Spud. If the government want to cut down on the drinking culture then one idea would be to offer slashed prices on soft drinks. A pint of coke costs a few pence but they sell it for silly prices. Some pubs even charge for tap water!!! And dont even get me started on J20!!

Spot on. How can they justify charging you the thick end of three quid for a pint of lager - then charge exactly the same for half a pint of lager and half a pint of lemonade in the same glass. Robbing bastards. Not that I drink shandies myself of course.

If you give up alcohol I'll find you and cut you, fucking tax dodger.

This country is built on the achievements of a bunch of piss heads. Don't ruin that tradition.
