How many games is that since Hartlepool lost? Must be getting on for 25 now unless i've forgotten a defeat in there somewhere?

They've got the title in the bag! they would have to virtually lose every single game from now on to throw it away.

Yep, although it would be nice to be crowned as champs, i will just take anywhere in the top 3. I cant deal with the heart ache of the play offs after Brighton!! The sooner we are out of this dog shit division the better.

On another note, i wouldnt wanna be an Oxford fan right now (well actually ever!!!). They are in terrible form and i can see them fucking up in the playoffs. I wonder how long it will be before they become a part time team!!  Soapy Tit Wank

It is hard to see any other outcome than Hartlepool winning the league at the minute.....especially with their run in of games not looking too bad.

To be fair, if we win tomorrow, then the run in is between us, Walsall and Franchise as someone else said, looking at all three of our run ins....you have to fancy Franchise to be the one's settleing for playoff's as they still have some tough games to come at Shrewsbury, Stockport and Wycombe not to mention home to Darlington who still harbour playoff hopes and Accrington who will be fighting for their survival!!

I'm going to the bookies at lunch....my money is on Hartlepool, Swindon, Walsall, Franchise, Stockport, Shrewsbury, Lincoln - Wycombe to miss out on goal difference.

I agree Hartlepool are in the box seat, but the interesting thing is to see the reaction if/when they lose - they haven't lost in so long they could capitulate - the same applies to Shrewsbury - after their first defeat in three months it's important to see the reaction.  Stockport have hit a roughish spell since the end of their run, it only takes us or Walsall to keep up some form an 'pool to lose one and draw a couple and it's game on.  I have an inkling MK will win the POs though - much as I'd hate them too.

It does indeed look like Hartlepool are a shoe in for the title.

But one loss and Walsall (and maybe us) could be breathing down there necks. Pressure can do strange things.

By end of play Monday we'll know about them one way or the other.
