Brez has been here all season, why did they have to wait until the last two or three days before exercising the option.  If something goes wrong now he could be lost.

My guess would be that they did not want to part with any money or make a commitment until they had to?

Surely Not!? Wink

Agree it's a bit late, but like all well run operations STFC runs on a JIT basis.

If (when?) it happens it will be damn good news IMHO.

I still dont think he'll accept personal terms.....his agent will be telling him he can get better money else where.

The fact that he's been injured and has disapeared off the map after some brilliant performances that got some attention is probably a good thing with regards to signing him

I choose to take the option of being naive by ignoring any potential hitches and saying that this is great news!  Tongue

Even still, wouldn't be bad business if they did - getting him to sign anything is better than nothing - he'll have a minimum fee release put in there, a Championship club release etc etc.

If we can get a solid season or two out of him, then £50k is an absolute snip.

Now, the best two business delas recently have been i) getting ukas to be the first player (since gareth Whalley) to sign a 3 year deal, and getting an option on signing Brez. Who did that again?
