Hey no offence taken millom - I am sure you can believe I have been on the end of far worse than that!!  Cheesy

I do agree that scrutiny has to work both ways absolutely.

But hopefully you also agree that the Board have been scrutinised to death and found to be more than a little wanting on that score!

All I try to do is explore the alternatives, and yes i know that comes across wrongly on a frequent basis, but to be honest it seems that very few people (publicly anyway) are giving nearly as much attention to the group of people who could be our new board.

I don't really care about the present lot anymore to be honest, as I really do feel they are on their way out.  However I would hate to think that we all just blindly embrace the new lot just because they are better than the last ones (not difficult!!).

Anyways enough of my waffle and thanks for posting that it is appreciated.

One day when all the dust has settled perhaps we should all have one ginormous piss-up and put it all behind us!  Beers

When the dust settles the new consortium to create an stfc brewery takes over. I'm heading this one up.

Talking of scrutiny, the contrast last month between Phil Emmel, & James (look down his nose) Wills would be sufficient for me to make a judgement even without any other info.

More to the point Maverick, mike Wilkes is one of us. An STFC fan. Mr Bowden as a contrast cliams to have been to 135 Swindon Matches... (Not many when you consider he's probably got into all this seasons for free)

Actually I think we've already got this at the club, as our board are very good at pissing down £800k a year down a black hole !!!

A small point on the Bowden issue.
I remember clearly from that wasteoffuckingtime fans forum how he described himself as something like "a resident of swindon and a fan of football" or something like that but he was very clear not to describe himself as a swindon fan.
It was clever wording on his part I thought at the time, to describe himself in that way, because on casual hearing (or reading) it makes you think he's a swindon fan.

Now all this nonsense about 135 games attended comes out and he's suddenly graduated to swindon fan. that'll be half of all home games for the last ten years then. hmmm I think he'd have described himself as a swindon fan in the first place if that was the case, and would have every right to as well surely.

It's obviously bollocks this 135 figure he's plucked out of the air and just because he now sports a swindon scarf on matchdays doesn't suddenly mean he's anything other than the "resident of swindon and fan of football" he's always been

Swindon fan he aint.

tbh, whether Bowden is a Town fan or even a football fan is immaterial (other than insofar as it seems important to him to somehow establish his "credibility" on this) - what matters is his ability or otherwise to deliver on the stadium redevelopment. That's what he came in to do and that's what he should be judged on.

Although of course true, if Blodwyn happened to be a bona fide town fan of long standing,  he might wish to see the error of his ways and present himself for election to the new Board as fan's rep....after all a corporate lawyer who worked for nPower could be of use.
