What a cool weekend. A day out at the magnificent new Wembley stadium on Saturday and a roast dinner whilst watching the town on tv( couldn't afford to go to Lincoln after the trip to London).

Were the prices for food/drink especially bad? Read a report in the paper that they were charging £5 for burgers

The whole place just makes you walk around open mouthed. From the minute you step out of the tube station at Wembley Park staight out on to Wembley way your spine starts to tingle.  Yes the food was a bit expensive, but hey! it is London after all.

i went up to wembley too.
still the same shit-pit around the ground but inside it's proper nice. escalators up to the top tier and then a cool £3.50 for a pint of what i can only imagine was carlsberg. there was an open air balcony looking out over wembley way to enjoy the pint on (though it was freezing out there), and they had big plasma screens all over the concourse showing goals n stuff. it looked a bit plastic in the "arena" section, but a nice amount of leg room and good view no matter where you are.
they didn't actually sell burgers there, but it was £4 for a hot dog.

And £4.20 for a Pizza Baguette... And £1.80 for a bottle of water which had to be put in a fucking plastic cup.
I went, the prices, like most things, angered me much. Missed most the footy as was enjoying looking at the stadium too much.
I found it very strange to watch the footy from the 5th tier.
I thought the stadium was properly amazing, lifts escaltors TV etc, the service was dog shit and the shit they served as food wasn't worth the card board it was served in. Good day though.

Im just on line trying to up my pics from sat, stadium is amazing but need to get people who speak english to serve and actually serve beer - 25 minute wait for a beer at half time, then they stop serving!
Outside needs doing up big time.
Anyone else notice the hand dryers? Proper ace, I cant believe that was the thing that I noticed most!
Ground will keep noise in

I went - the stadium is fantastic. The food is over-priced, but who expected anything different?
One "fan" in one of the sunday rags complained about the price of the programme... Which was only £3 and in fairness their are more expensive!
I cannot wait to attend a sellout game - it will be magnificant.
