I'm starting to think going to this game is a bad idea.
I'm driving there on my own. I'm gonna die. Ralph, I'll be getting the train from Didcot if you don't fancy driving.

Excellent. Sounds like a better plan. Do you need to buy the rail tickets in advance ? I hardly ever use Trains

You can do - it can be cheaper - but it usually involves booking specific train - given the police prescence that day I'd be a little cautious about how much freedom we're gonna have to wander and catch trains as we like. Pay on the day shoudl be fine - it might be cheaper to get day returns etc. Play about on www.nationalrail.co.ukor look into a group 4 ticket - 4 travelling together can save a few quid

Not sure. Isn't it cheaper if you buy four in advance? If it's me, Birdy, you and we can get one more (Village? Sonic?) Could do that. A return bought on the day is £29.50 But if I book in advance direct from First Great Western about £11. Think Matt's right though, have to specify which train. Let me know as I'll be booking them over the weekend
