My problem is thus: I am trying to play network Football Manager but it keeps crashing saying that it is out of 'realised memory'.

How do I create more memory to enable me to enjoy my network games of FM uninterrupted?

How much virtual memory have you got in your settings? Are you hosting the network game?

Basically 512mb isn't that much anymore but you probably shouldn't be getting all of those errors. Do you have other stuff running at the same time?

no, the host is the one with the best PC, and I make sure nothing else is open when we are playing. How do I check about virtual memory and stuff.

You'll have to forgive me I am a bit of a gimp when it comes to computers!!

Right click on my computer and select the advanced tab. Then performance button. Then at the bottom it should say how much virtual memory.

Doesn't sound like a virtual memory problem though.
What's the exact message you get with the problem? Are you sure it says "realised memory" and not "released memory"?

Change the initial size to 1024mb and keep the maximum size the same.
Other than buying more memory and cleaning up spyware/viruses there isn't much else you can do.

If you ctrl + alt + delete, how many running processes are there?

Cool, have done that. ctrl + alt + delete when I have FM2007 running is jus FM2007 and ActivSurf Agent whatever that is.

That's programs. You need to do the same again and select the 'processes' tab. The number of processes is displayed at the bottom left of the window

I don't have that option. When I press ctr + alt + delete I don't have any other options but the programmes. There are no tabs or owt.

Don't ask me, I tried updating my motherboard drivers earlier and completely fucked up. Nearly had to format the pc and reinstall windows but luckily managed to just run the recovery utility. Phew!
