The reason we havent had any is because of the board, nothing to do with them not wanting to play in league 2. Other sides in our division have managed it

Or perhaps it's because Sturrock is targetting players which are unattainable?

The reason Bart talks nonsense is because of the consortium, nothing to do with him not liking the board. Other posters on this forum have managed it.

....and how exactly does the board put a player off joining on loan?

Please explain. I can understand maybe the board not wanting to pay any of the wages, therefore clubs not wanting to let their players out on loan whilst still paying all their wages....

....but that aside the board have nothing to do with the transfers. I cant see Leon Best saying 'Nah, I dont want to go on loan to Swindon because of that Bob Holt'

Sorry Sonic, but we all have our feelings about the board, but this is tiresome

I've heard from my sources that whenever a player has come to the County Ground to discuss terms, various board members have dressed up in ghost costumes and jumped out of cupboards shouting "OOGA BOOGA!!!!".

The delicate nature of modern footballers cannot cope with this.

Neither of which are something you do.

You appear, you post something which has no basis of truth and provide nothing to support your suggestion and then you ignore everyone's response.

Hardly an exhange of views or a discussion is it?

Agreed Bart

We are all pissed off with the board mate

Why keep throwing things like this in the pot

Let them be their own undoing FFS

We dont need any more speculation on this and that thank you very much.

Lets just deal in cold hard facts, there are plenty out there

I think the board know that they have to back Sturrock with new signings even if they are only loans as they would risk losing Sturrock if he did not get backing.

Sturrock could easily walk away if he felt the board were not backing him, but at least the board are going to let him bring in a few players.

Glad to hear that some new players are coming in as we really need some new faces, it will give other players a good kick up the backside (hopefully).

Think if sturrock signs two strikers and a winger which he said today he would like to do then roberts will be dropped for the lincoln game, but he does not seem committed, he lacks motivation and does not battle hard enough for the team and there are a few others like that as well.

The squad is bare and with at least 3 new signings if they are fairly decent players then we still have a good chance of automatic promotion, but it's do or die now, we have to win at lincoln otherwise we really are in trouble.

However it would be alot better with the consortium in control as they would back Sturrock more than this lot.

Its a fair point....given the little of which we can be certain, one fact is the Board don't want to pay the  promotion bonuses.  Diamandis will also be aware that crowds in  a possible semi decent seaon in L2, will be higher than a poor seasom in L1...ergo from the Board's  position promotion isn't desirable. Sturrock may well be able to offset this against the opportunity to forge his own side for next year if the club is still in business.

His proactive engagement in the sale of Lukas suggests he realises it was a necessary evil...to ensure a club for next season.
