Rhys Evans isnt starting for Blackpool anymore. I have to say Im not suprised. In reflection he was a very average keeper. In the pub we were trying to remmember a game which he won for Swindon and we couldnt recall one. Took Brezovan 1 game. Smith won us the game at Franchise.
Bradford are in the relegation spots for League 1 and are in bad form. Could be the biggest all seater ground ever in the basement league? Possibly?
Wrexham got 7030 against Bury! Unless its a NOTW missprint.
Albert Jarrett is playing for Boston in front of 1600 fans. Hehe.
And Sunderland filled a 8000 end at Barnsley and had another 5000 locked out!!! Unbelievable support.

Rhys Evans played a part last season, Rotherham away he pulled off about 5/6 awesome saves to get us 3 points. Also Swansea away on new years eve? he was on top forum and Swansea fans were raving about his performance....you also have to remember....he spent alot of last season out injured.
However, I do agree with your point...he was very average and I do feel much more assured with both Brezovan and Phil Smith between the sticks.
Wrexham isnt a mis print - however, they slashed ticker prices to £5 for the Bury game
Albert Jarrett has been playing really well for Boston by all accounts and his second yesterday was supposed to be quite tasty
Although, good support by Sunderland I'd hope most Championship clubs on a similiar run of form to Sunderland would take a full allocation to Barnsley

For me he's not even in our top 3 keepers this decade! Id put them in the order or Brezovan, Smith, Mildenhall, Evans, Griemink. And to be fair to Griemink its a toss up between himself and Evans. For me they were very simmilar goalkeepers.
We loved Evans because he was from Swindon. I think he got more respect than he deserved comming from Chelsea as well.

I think Evans was a good keeper when he got here....but his game didnt seem to progress at all with us....he very much stagnated.
I remember just before he signed for us he played a few games for the England Under 21s and looked very good.

Seem to remember Hull fans raving about Evans after his performance at the KC a couple of years back.
We loved him at the time because he came here at the end of a string of truly terrible goalkeepers - how Bart Griemink maintained a spot in a football league side for so long I'll never know. We had a short period where Mildenhall was superb, and picked up player of the year before he shot off to the big time at Notts County (turning down those bids from Arsenal and Wolves!!) but before that it was Glass, Talia (who wasn't all that terrible either for a time, but prone to the odd clanger) etc etc
If Rhys had come from Chester not Chelsea, he wouldn't have played in the U21s and wouldnt have had an automatic reputation ready to be lost, instead of one to build up.
Brez is a cut above. The cross comes in and you KNOW he'll get there first. Whilst i like Phil Smith, it'll be a fine day when Brez is back between the posts.

Dont think we'll need it to be fair. I think Swindon fans will really turn out. Looking forward to that game. Big games have been rare occurances at the CG this season. Im more interested in keeping pricing at a level most fans can afford. And £20 for Div 3 is still on the limit board!

They may even get about 2,000 if they are lucky. We shouldn't need to slash the prices for the Walsall game, it should be big enough to attract a big support from both teams.
