Very disappointed at the state of the pitch yesterday - it made some of our players look like they couldn't control the ball at times.
I suppose it'll be better after the match in mid week - 22 girlies in high heels prancing about should help the aeration process a bit.....
Nothing like a good forking.

I was talking to Marcus the groundsman while we were putting the flags up yesterday.
Apparently the team used it for four training sessions last week.
He is really pissed off with trying to keep it in any sort of condition.

Nothing like a good forking. Thats because half of them CANT control a ball. Nowt so much to do with the pitch mate, many of them are nothing more than average players. Saying that, as talk-talk alludes to, it cant help them having to train on it during the mid-week, turning into a cabbage patch, unless this is the tactical genius that is Sturrrock at play!

Ever heard of irony ? Aaaaah, I see. Irony. Yes, I am usually most appreciative of irony. It's just that after only a small number of posts you can't always tell if a person is being ironic or a mong. I am afraid to say I had jumped to the conclusion that you were a monger and had not considered the possibilty of irony. My sincere apologies

pitch was dry and bobbly. like it was 2 years ago. I thought our pitch was supposed to be the best in the league.

Rather like the team, being the best doesn't actually involve being good, just better than the rest. When you have Shrewsbury in the league who play underwater, and Rovers, Rochdale, Wycombe, Bury and Stockport who either have Rugby or Prem reserve matches, and Barnet who play on the side of moutn Snowden it's not tht hard. Also being more southerly in a mostly northern league with the grim oop north weather helps. That said our players really were struggling to get a good first touch on that pitch on saturday .
