and their replacements with the injured ones
Always go to be 4-4-2

id go with

Brezovan * (Phil Smith)

Jack Smith Ifil Williams Nicholas (Nicho to cover Williams injury and Vincent to cover Nicho)

Pook Weston Evans (Timlin as replacement) Zaaboub (thats played as a 4 - with 3 central midfielders and 1 free player in Zaaboub)

Jutkiewicz Peacock

For me the weakness is midfield - two wingers hasnt worked all season due to the lack of strength in there - even more so when Evans is injured

And also the lack of goals ... we cant really rely on Lukas and the Cock to score more than 10-15 a season at top rate .. we need a 25 goal a season man!

The reality also is that we need an experience head in central midfield until Evo returns - mainly I think as Timlin has just declined in his time here

Brezovan (despite Smiths understandable passion theres no denying the class of petr)

Smith      Ifil     Williams     Vincent (No other real options, nicho will always be a mere squad player)

Shakes    Evans     Timlin    Zaboub (evans in the middle will get the best out of the other 3, or else score a 40yrd screamer again to shut them all up, if all else fails, bring back SUMMERBEE!)

Peacock  Lucas
(with good crosses comming in these two will be banging them in (Parkin and mooney style!, peacocks deck play is also class and would be able to put lucaus through consdiering he can dribble ok)

My Team at Stockport would have been:

Smith
Smith, Ifil, Westwood, Nicho
Shakes, Pook, Peacock, Timlin, Brown
Lukas

Playing as a 4-5-1, but with the wingers advanced and Peacock in the centre pushing forward, Timlin and Pook holding the line.

We're not scoring cos there's no supply, let's play a 5 man midfield and run it up there.

If roberts is going to continue to play i'd probably put him in midfield (attacking). It would be something different and as he's clearly not a finisher, you could play Peacock up with Jutzkiewicz.

I like your thinking to an extent there Northern Red....
Peacock in an attacking free role in front of the midfield would work, but in reality he kind of does that without being told to as he has to run around so much for the team!

I think at the minute, the best way to get results with what we have fit and ready would be kind of as you said:

GK - Smith

RB - Smith
CB - Westwood
CB - Vincent
LB - Nicholas

DM - Timlin

RM - Shakes
CM - Weston
LM - 'The Boob'

AM - Peacock (free role)

ST - Roberts (subbed for Sturrock or Jutkiddywinks if being lazy)

I'd have Evans in their for Weston though as and when he is fit!

fwiw, my ideal starting 11 for saturday would be:

GK - Smith

DR - Smith
DC - Westwood/youth teamer
DC - Vincent (c)
DL - Nicholas

MR - Wells
MC - Pook
MC - Weston
ML - Zaaaabooooooooob

FC - Peacock
FC - Sturrock/Lukas

With peacock being the target man, and to link up  play, and pook to run around, tackle, and pass to weston

with Evans injured and for as long as it has been, I expect he would have played some part.
