I honestly think that he could be a good player, it's the position I used to play, just be fit enough to run around for the full ninety get stuck in and then give the ball to someone who can do something with it.

It's amazing how good you can look if you concentrate on that.

I never said he was or is a tough battling midfield, but he could be DV.

Don't be a over reactionary defeatist, just get on with it and fight on.  Not that difficult.  The bloke sounds like a fairy in that interview.

I can see what you mean about his potential Jan.  I think Pook thinks he's Lampard, but he is massively short in most areas of his game to achieve that IMHO.  If he grew some balls and learned to tackle and give the easy ball he could be a semi-decent Makalele if he got lucky.  Breaking the play and shielding the defence - problem is he forgets his job and 'appears' to bottle it and lack effort - I'm not saying he necessarily does, but it looks that way.

I'd agree with that Matt.  Focus is what he needs, not the Ford variety as that wouldn't do him much good at the moment though.

Personally the reason I think Pook is "doomed" to play in League 1 & 2 is that his speed of thought isn't up to a higher level. By the time he has worked out where the ball should go it's too late.

Anyway enough about that, they should be going out and sweating blood to win a game. If they don't win but they have given their all then so be it. But confidence has crumbled and players are starting to hide in games.

I think people take fatbury way too seriously.

Anyway, I blame the orange revolution. I think the whole team is allergic to orange

At least they have come forward to say how they are 'feeling'. Not necessarily what we want to hear but it's sometimes better than the old 'we know we can do better' , 'just got to cut the silly mistakes out' etc etc and then not actually do any of them.

I felt quite lifted to read peacocks views that they are now treating it as an 11 game season, it puts it all in to perspective. There's not far to go, we're still in with a shout, just need to focus - that should really make them kick on and win the majority in my eyes. Will it happen, who knows.

I don't take the bloke seriously, I'm just finding him so very boring, every one of his posts of late has been to do with the same old shit he's been spouting out for weeks.

I can not believe you even put Pook, Lampard and Makalele in the same post!!

......well without adding...."Pook is knowhere near as good as...", "Pook couldn't be as good as them in his wildest dreams", "Pook has about as much talent at football as Lampard or Makalele's grandmothers", "Lampard would be able to dribble round Pook with with his legs surgically sewn together and whilst giving Makalele a piggyback!" etc etc...

Lets face it, whether he tries or not, he is not EVER EVER EVER going to be a premiership player, let alone anywhere near the standard of two full blown international players such as Lampard and Makalele! Get real!
