NOSTRADAMUS SPEAKS

Evening Advertiser (Friday 9th March 2007)

By Mr M Bowden

Following the sudden and untimely passing of Andy Fitchett, the board of Swindon Town Football Club (ie: Myself and Diamond Mike) call for all supporters to observe a minutes applause before tomorrows game against Accrington Stanley.

(should I delete this as being disrespectful to Andy and his family ?)

OK

Was worried a bit

might be taken as disrespectful, but was never ever ever intended that way, I just dont want people making political gain out of what is a terribly sad situation

I think it will happen, can someone post the idea on MOS as I'm not signed up to that board.

I'll have a word with the guy with the microphone on Saturday if there's no official announcement!

applause instead of a minutes silence.

Well done, hopefully he would have prefered that Smiley

RIP, my thoughts are with his friends and family

From Ben Lambert

Rob

Thanks for your comments. FYI Andy's family have been in touch and requested that something similar to what you suggested takes place. We have updated the website accordingly.

Regards,

Ben

Andy was introduced to the us when we were on the VIP day a couple of weeks ago, and seemed a genuinely nice bloke. Sad news.

FWIW he was there as a guest of Mike Bowden I believe, and Ben Lambert and co went round and raised a few hundred quid for his 2 chosen charities so fair play.

I think that's going to be a great touch to applaud him for the minute instead of having a silence. I'm glad the club announced this and are allowing it to happen
