Michael Bay, it's like he went back in time to 1941 and wrote Pearl Harbour in some sort of crazy scripting real life way. Greatest film ever.

I've done a similar essay and would recommend, the Coen Brothers as a good choice - yes, there's two of them but they deal with alot of the production from writing, editing and direction.

And their films are great.

it's been quite a while since i saw a coen brothers film and thought it was anything other than mediocre tosh.

Which ones?  I haven't seen Intolerable Cruelty or The Ladykillers, and I don't think I'd want to.  I really enjoyed The Man Who Wasn't There, and O Brother Where Art Thou? was fun if nothing else.

The Ladykillers is alright, Intolerable Cruelty is a bit shit, the rest are damned fine films.

I've spent all day working on it and just finished, I've not worked so hard for years  Cheesy

Ealing Comedy at it's best. Alec Guinness is on form in that one. Brilliant film.
