If Sturrock doesn't follow this through then he's a cunt, frankly.

He's gone back on a few statements like this recently so give the bunch of wankers the jolt they need.

Didn't he go on to qualify it by saying a full first team presence at the Memorial?  Doesn't neccessarily mean he's going for the same starting eleven.

I think he just wants to work out who's up for the fight.

He won't play Peacock, he is dealing with a back injury.  Playing Smith in goal would be a bit pointless.  The back four to play on Saturday would make sense to get used to each other,.... probably so far:

                    Stewart

Smith, Vincent, Westwood, Nicholas

Zaboob was suspended, so he doesn't get the blame.  Newbusy probably needs a game to  get used to his team mates.  Lucas and Sturrock junior are probably off the hook.  He'll want them fresh for Saturday.  Timlin would probably get pissed off and call Fulham if he had to play a reserve game against Bristol who?.  The prime suspects for the chop would be Brown, Shakes and Roberts.  Pook is an honest player, so he won't have to play.

Let's go with the following, assuming Weston needs a game.  Those that are not hung over and playing with a bit of effort will be substituted at half time.  It might be fun, the players, except for the back four, who are playing well will be the ones substituted.

                    Stewart

Smith, Vincent, Westwood, Nicholas

Shakes, Newbusy, Weston, Brown

     Roberts, Yoof Teamer

Sturrock inherited a wiining team doing well. the board didn't need to back him as the team were heading for automatic promotion. now after a run of bad results things dont look good. interesting to hear that he,s going to make the players run like dogs in training this week and put the lot of them in the reserves. funny thing is it sounds like wises training mentality has been relaxed by sturrock and the rotton lazy cunt attitude of some of the palyers is comming through.

With the weather and the notoriety of the Memorial Ground's pitch (if that's where the game is to be played) my guess is that the game will be off anyway!!  If it does take place how many of Saturday's team will report with injuries on Monday morning?  Fine words, no action! :old:

Nows the time for the board to back sturrock we need players in to tell some of the dead wood that their first team place isn't guaranteed. injuries and competition for places has cost us lately and now iffil will be suspended. can't help looking at hartlepool and thinking that should be us. whats their excuse about the bad weather and training it seems to have improved them.

I'd wager that they're not doing as much fitness work, Sturrock's an "old school" style manager and I can't see him embracing training techniques that Wise implemented.

There's no doubt in my mind that we've gone backwards under Sturrock which is absolutely absurd.

But maybe inevitable?

I reckon there won't be many managers in the country who work their players as hard as Wise? It's looking all the more short-sighted to let him leave.
