This has been going through my head alot recently and i think there could be something in it.

It's strange how other clubs in the division can bring in players easy enough, walsall signed two decent players on loan last week and one of them scored twice on saturday.

Alot of players have been shipped out this season: Gurney, Onibuje, Stroud, Henry, Comyn-Platt, Monkhouse and the only players to come in have been Noubissie and Timlin.

The board have trimmed the squad down to almost bare minimum, maybe they did this to pay the £100k CVA bill recently?

Sturrock wanted players during the transfer window in January and was also after players last week, why cant we sign players?

Something just doesn't seem right, maybe the board are forcing Sturrock to manage with what players he has, obviously Sturrock isnt going to come out and say the board are blocking me from making any signings.

It just seems so odd and i am not trying to start rumours but surely it is going through other peoples heads as well?

Nothing would surprise me with this board, i'm sure you would all agree.

Sturrock had two players lined up that he was bringing in....it wasn't the Board's fault it didn't happen.

So no

I think that is possibly correct but could be just an excuse from Sturrock? as said above if the board were not letting him sign anyone Sturrock cannot come out and say "the board are not letting me sign any new players".

It depends what you mean. If you mean have the Board said Sturrock could have players then changed their minds I would doubt it. If you mean Sturrock has asked for extra money but they've refused, that could be the case.I'd be surprised if the Board would give extra funds to Sturrock anyway. I know we've shipped players out, but the ones we have couldn't have been on high wages anyway.

My personal feeling is no.

Or maybe its a mixed bag, which is what I would hang my hat on

PS has identified targets, got agreement to talk with agents and club but could not agree "personal terms" with the player.

I think that is more realistic

(disclaimer - it's my personal opinion Ben !)

Sturrock has been told to cut the wage bill and he has....

I think you're all paranoid and reading far too much into the situation.

i think the board have got something to do with it. isn't it funny how two "certain" deals collapse all of a sudden? hmmm maybe it is just sheer bad luck but something has to have gone wrong somewhere down the line and who is to say that Sturrock isn't just making exuses as the board dont want him to say he can't bring anyone in

No. I applaud Sturrock for not just getting in any old Albert Jarrett or Petr Mikolanda in from elsewhere.

I heard the board blocked a £20m move for Shevchenko. Quite right too, he's a useless cunt.
